Taken aback by the situation, she starts drawing some signs with her hands in the air and then around pouch, trying to guard whatever it is that is inside it from the exterior.
"We better be carefull about this thing" she says, watching to keep her concentration and break any link anyone might have to it.

Ya'qub had been watching the procedings silently, ready to assist if requested, but curious to learn more of this strange seal.
When Adila was slain and the seal appeared to try to leave the building on its own, he was taken aback.
The merchant was releived when Waleed quickly recovered his senses at least and managed to reach out and "grab" the seal before it disappeared completely.
Then, when Waleed was struck by yet another invisible force, this time Ya'qub reacted.
Quickly he got up and moved to close the door to the tavern and shutter the windows. With the recent events, he thought it at least prudent also to step forward to address the patrons of the tavern.
"Latht Call, everyone" he lisped.

She nods towards Yaqub and keeps her concetration while trying to figure out what could be causing this.
Yaqub can see a familiar grin in her face, that comes when she realizes the solution to a problem and playfull look.
"this thing seems to have a life of itself.." she lies, while she refocusses her energies in a different spell, trying to do so without creating awareness of the creature in the room. Then, she moves her hand around her head looking to encircle it in her spell.
After finishing it she shouts "there is an invisible stalker in here!" while mentally calling upon Eakon so that he comes in through the window and attacks it.

All eyes where drawn to the floating seal and for shortest of moments the outline of a figure, shimmering like a desert mirage, was seen. Then it and the seal flew out to sea, the invisible force blowing Eakon aside like a leaf in a breeze. A hush had fallen over the tavern; outside the waves lapped against the wooden hull. Adila's body lay sprawled in the cot, unseeing eyes staring into eternity, bruised neck twisted at an impossible angle. As you watch, a common house fly touches down on her face- once, twice, three times before settling on a corner of her lip. There it sits, preening. www.wizards.com/dnd/images/MM35_gallery/MM35_PG161a.jpg

Waleed shooed the fly away as he caught his breath back. "Yes, it was an invisible stalker, and we are lucky it didn't kill us too. I will see to the proper burial of Adila's body."

Looks angrily through the window. "Summoning one of those is not an easy task... someone powerfull must be behind this"

"A cleric?" then she laughs "and a fat one at it?.. mmmhh don't know.. would have expected something different" then quickly she scribbles a couple of notes into a parchmet.
"I need to leave for a minute or two..."

Waleed nodded and called out his three managers, "We need to have this woman properly buried. We'll do it later after the customers had left. I believe Ya'qub called 'last call' so please see to the standard nightly routine of closing up, we don't want to make anything look more out of the ordinary." Waleed nodded once again for his desires to be carried out and then sat back in a nearby chair and rubbed his sore chest.

What do you make of these strange events?"

In ones and twos, the patrons are slowly leaving the tavern... no longer discussing the strange, babbling woman--conversations have returned to subjects more pressing: the tides, fishing, pearl diving of the coast of Gana, gambling, and trade.

Ya'qub and Waleed sat in quiet discussion, waiting for the patrons to finish their drinks and for Keesha to return. Following the Zakharan custom, they had closed Adila's eyes and covered her body with a clean sheet.
Needless to say, they would strive to bury the deceased as soon as possible after death, avoiding the need for embalming or otherwise disturbing the body. A local imam in one of the temples could perform the funeral prayers, after the body was washed and prepared. Normally this was done by the family, but in this case...
It was nearly an hour before the last patron was assisted to shore. Keesha returned just as Waleed's workers were leaning the smiling drunk against a stack of barrels.

"Well," Ya'qub began resignedly, "the poor woman didn't seem to have much. 'Naked she came into the world, and naked left...' I shall pay for a simple ceremony, and will make an extra donation to the mosque for the imam to exercise the utmost... discretion in this matter." The merchant looked up with an expression that seemed to mix inquisitiveness with hope.

She looks at Yaqub, smiling.
"So how are things here?"

Waleed, Ya'qub and Keesha where standing in the common room, quietly discussing where best to deliver the body of the unfortunate woman. Fayiz, one of Waleed’s trusted employees, finished annotating the day’s accounts and closed the ledger book. With a satisfied nod, he placed it beneath the polished wooden bar.
“A thousand pardons, effendi,” Fayiz said when a break in the conversation afforded him the opportunity to speak without interrupting. As he continued, muscle-bound Anwar emerged from the back room with the shrouded Adila cradled in his arms. Fayiz gestured toward them: “a woman runs into Drowned Sorrows, yet we carry her out. Even were she not dead, this is suspicious in its nature."
Anwar stood patiently awaiting further instruction. He shifted his load slightly--carrying dead weight was awkward. Beneath the sheet something cracked. The giant Anwar shuddered. More cracking sounds.
“Support the neck, Anwar.” Fayiz sighed.
A hand lolled out from beneath the sheet. Something tumbled from the hand and dropped to the floor with a clatter; there it spun in ever tighter circles. It was the clay seal.
