btw I think we might be undercritical with 3 players... things moved a little faster when we were 4.. its ok for me, but liked the previous rhytmhus Yeah, me too. Right now we pretty much have what we need except a really tough fighter type and 4 people seem to be able to pick up the slack a bit more than 3.

Folks, I don't want to alarm anyone, but I noticed that a post I sent to Ya'qub's 'scratchpad' in his "private" thread was visible on the "Most Recent Posts" option. So I did some checking and learned that our "private" threads are visible to everyone. I've already PMed Michael to see if this was an upgrade issue, but I thought I'd let everyone know as well. Hope you don't have too many secrets... Please check your private threads (and please tell me if you still read your neighbors private threads!) to make sure you can read/reply/create new threads. The upgraded proboards has some changes I'm still getting accustomed to...

The upgraded proboards has some changes I'm still getting accustomed to... Well, I can't see Keesha's or Waleed's posts at all. I just tried to post a test thread in my "private" forum, and it ended up on the "ten most recent posts" list, so I'm guessing everyone can see it...

I believe the "10 most recent posts" is different for each user. Try it when you're not logged in- you should see a different list of 10.

I've created 3 captains from which Ya'qub will choose. He's welcome to seek council on the decision or just pick one.
I've put some emphasis on the captain because it will set the tone of the voyage and crew.

Hmm. I'm going to store the announcement here and try to post it later. Anyones welcome to suggest modifications and/or share the invitation with friends & family.
One year ago, a band of adventurers set out on a quest across the perilous High Desert in search of a dying man's lost love. Perhaps the old man was insane and the images that danced in the fabric of his magical carpet were little more than party tricks, but his gold was real. Real enough to fund a caravan of wonderous potential... Had they known the dangers ahead, who can say if their courage would have been enough to accept the offer. Zakhara's burning deserts, hidden temples with restless dead, warring tribes whose ancient grievances extend beyond the grave... If Fate had been so kind as to present them with only these challenges- but in Her wisdom they found themselves pitted against a Noble Efreet cast from the City of Brass, a creature who's power was beyond their comprehension. From these fires heroes emerged. Now they are getting ready to set sail on an adventure to a distant land and you're invited to join them. 1001adventures.proboards3.com/members.cox.net/arabianadventures/

It wasn't that the young lad was naturally slow, it was the fact that not only was he carrying his own possessions, but was also carrying and dragging Waleeds and his three bodyguards. The young man was overladen with items from the carriage ride that had deposited them all at the docks. This reminded me so much of the Nodwick comic!
