Waleed nods, "Okay, no problem. Should we leave Adila here? I was thinking maybe a few days at my domicile to properly feed her and to get some needed rest might be in order. Then when we're ready to leave, I can bring her back."

Waleed nods, "Okay, no problem. Should we leave Adila here? I was thinking maybe a few days at my domicile to properly feed her and to get some needed rest might be in order. Then when we're ready to leave, I can bring her back." "That depends on whether or not she's out of danger, at least for the moment." Ya'qub said, scratching his balding head. "Although, moving her around might make it more difficult for any assassin to get a fix on her. I'm afraid I will have to defer to your judgment."

Nods. "Good, get everything prepared"; with that she steps out and heads into the city. "Yes Ma'am!"; Waleed said with a smile. The caravaneer looks at Waleed, then after the departing Keesha, then back to Waleed. "Well, I guess I had better be off as well, locating a good crew for this beautiful ship..." Then he takes his leave as well.

"Alright, see you in a couple of days," Waleed said to the retreating form of Ya'qub. "Send word if you plan on leaving sooner." Waleed then turned to Mamoun and the girls, "Come, lets take Adila home and clean her up a bit and feed her a good meal or two."

When the friends returned to the Bright Dancer on the agreed upon day, they were pleased to see the deck bristling with activity. Ya'qub stood conversing with a surprisingly young-looking individual.
Noticing them, the balding caravaneer merchant smiled broadly. "Friends! I'd like you to meet Shabab Eblis al-Rubban. He will be the captain on our voyage. Please do not consider his youth to be a disadvantage. He comes highly recommended as a nautical genius, and inspires fierce loyalty in his crew."
He then looks past the friends down the docks, as if he is expecting something.
"Sahra is coming as well. I started to insist that she stay behind and watch our interest here, but she scoffed at that -- 'the business can run itself,' she said.
In truth, I am actually glad she is coming. I could not bear the thought of being away from her for too long."
He added this last a little sheepishly.

She looks at the captain "Welcome on board I guess.. to our group that is" then she smiles playfully. "So when are we ready to sail then?" she asks unpreocuppied
then she looks around for Waleed and Adila

Shabab Eblis was kneeling at the base of a mast, inspecting a length of rope that ran through a block and tackle. He finished his inspection before standing to acknowledge Ya’qub’s introduction. “Quality restoration work…” he was saying to himself.
Shabab was indeed young for a rubban--that was evident in his youthful face. He bowed with a flourish and a smile. “Thank you for the welcome, nabila Keesha. We are nearly ready to sail.” Despite his youth Shabab was muscular and tall; a full head taller than any present. He spoke perfect Midani but with a distinct accent. “Nabila,” he said to Keesha, using the formal title of ‘Lady’, “your face… it reminds me of someone. May I ask your family name?”

"Come on Mamoun," Waleed sternly reprimanded his man-servant, "A tick on a camels ass can walk fast than you. Do you think I like waiting out here in the sun?" Hands behind his back and his foot tapping, Waleed waited for Mamoun to catch up. It wasn't that the young lad was naturally slow, it was the fact that not only was he carrying his own possessions, but was also carrying and dragging Waleeds and his three bodyguards. The young man was overladen with items from the carriage ride that had deposited them all at the docks.
However, to the discerning eye, Mamoun walked just behind Waleed and in front of his armored bodyguards. This position placed Mamoun higher in station than Waleed's bodyguards, lovely as they may be. It wasn't long before Waleed himself went and helped the young man with his burden, "How shameful that a master such as myself should be forced to carry his own possessions. If this was Hiyal I would be laughed out of the city." Waleed took more than his fair share, it was always important every now and then to cement the bonds of master and servant, lest the latter forget themselves. Trailing behind them all was a woman unrecognizable from days past. Her hair well groomed, her skin and nails pampered, and her dress was similar to those of a lady of high station. Adila, a diamond in the rough.
Waleed, with entourage in tow, walked up the gangplank and at the top spoke out to his friend Ya'qub, "Permission to come aboard, sir!"

Shabab strode to the gangplank and stretched out his arms. "Nabil Waleed, allow me to assist you. Nabil Ya'qub has told me much about you. I am Shabab Eblis, entrusted as rubban of the Bright Dancer. Fate willing, I shall prove my worth."
About the deck bustled a crew of sailors from many lands; hard, capable men and women who took to their tasks with practiced skill.

"Ah, it is a pleasure to meet you Rubban," Waleed replied with a smile and instead of handing over any of his possessions, gave the rubban a firm handshake instead. "Don't bother yourself, my man-servant can take the rest to our room if you can have one of your men show him the way." Waleed stepped onto the deck and set his burden down. "Quickly now Mamoun, we do not wish to keep anyone waiting!"

Nabila,” he said to Keesha, using the formal title of ‘Lady’, “your face… it reminds me of someone. May I ask your family name?” She smiles graceously "This is not the first time I have been told that" she acknowledges "Apparently I have a pretty common face" then she turns around quickly hearing Waleed and Mamoun making their characteristic noise as they approach there they come those two, she laughs.

Letting Mamoun handle it from there on, Waleed smiles warmly as his bodyguards join him and then Adila, "Doesn't she look wonderful? Shabab, this is Adila, our guest for the trip."
